Altitude, Nanyuki; Escape from it all!

This is a beautiful spot considered ‘out in the bush’ for many, but only 10km out of Nanyuki town. You will be my houseguests on my working 13-acre farmhouse.

This is an incredibly tranquil place to stay, with good walks/rides in the local area and/or take lessons on horseback riding.
The farmhouse upstairs is especially geared for guests, with a shared guest bathroom for the two lovely bedrooms, from which you can see…or visit Mount Kenya/Llodaigas and Aberdares!

The space
This is a working farm with animals abound. A ‘paradise’ for some and hell to others (if you don’t like animals.) The host is extremely experienced with domestic animals and is a good choice for those who wish to get more comfortable around dogs, cats, horses, goats and chickens/guineafowl. This is an animal farm of sorts after all!

Guest access
Guests are free to access the whole farm , but will be accompanied if requested or the host feels that the safer option (for instance, small children to walk in the fields with the horses will be accompanied)

Other things to note
A farm stay is an experience in itself, a wholly different one to that of an apartment or hotel in town. There will be an opportunity to partake in farm duties with the animals on site. We are not so far away from Nanyuki that a choice of take away meals can be delivered by motorbike for a minimal charge. KFC, Chinese, Pizza to name a few…
